Our Policy

By submitting an order to us, you, the client, agree to the following terms and conditions. Once your order and payment has been received, production on your order will begin. Therefore, refunds cannot be given during this process. All re-orders for invitations and stationery are subject to a handling charge.
 
For invitation and stationery orders, We will provide a pdf file of an initial proof for you to review. Up to two subsequent proofs will be sent to you for changes before final printing. Please contact us if you require more than three total changes, additional fees may apply. We will not print your order until we receive an email from you stating, "it is ok to print". Any mistakes found or changes needed after your written permission and final printing, will not be corrected without incurring additional fees. The client is responsible for determining appropriate postage amount for invitations and stationery. We are not responsible for any invitation or stationery items damaged in the mailing process. The client is responsible for all shipping & handling charges and taxes and is separate from quoted prices of goods and services unless noted that shipping is included. We make every effort to ensure order accuracy. Each order is packed with care and double checked by at least two members of our team and will include a packing slip. In the unlikely event that there is a mistake in your order, please contact us within 48 hours. We will refer to our records and will determine an appropriate solution.
 
Due to the custom nature of our products, please expect very slight variances between your samples and final product and between same styles in a multiple quantity order. These variances include, but are not limited to, paper dimensions, ink color, embellishments, etc. We strive to accurately display our product, however, depending on your monitor settings, web browser, etc., printed and final product may slightly vary. All designs featured on this site and custom orders are property of TLHDesigns and may be used for future reproduction and sale. We reserves the right to use the designs for display, publication, samples and other purposes. Reproduction, display, or distribution of these designs without our authorization is strictly prohibited. The content displayed on this site is for your general information and use only, it is subject to change without notice.
 
Shipping
 
Standard shipping and handling rates will apply. Insurance is recommended for all orders over $100. All orders are shipped by USPS unless otherwise noted. Shipping rates are calculated based on weight and destination, insurance rates are based on invoice total. For rush delivery, charges may vary and will apply. Please allow up to 5 business days for printing. Please allow up to an additional 7 business days for U.S delivery and 14 business days for standard International delivery. All orders are shipped from: Chicago, IL 60615
 
Privacy Policy
 
We process payment through PayPal, a safe way to pay online. We will not sell, rent or disclose your personal identification information with just any third party. However, we may share some or all of your personal identification information with third parties involved in fulfilling and/or delivering your order (ie. shipping carrier, and credit card processing company).

Terms & Agreement

GENERAL WORKING AGREEMENT
 
This document defines the terms and conditions of our working relationship. All projects or services that TLHDesigns may provide for CLIENT will be subject to the following:
 
WORKING/BILLING PHASES - Based on our experience with long-term design communications projects, we have found that it is mutually advantageous to handle each project in logical working/billing phases. A 25% deposit is required to start your project Unless otherwise noted.
 
Concept revisions, extensive alterations, or a switch in marketing objectives sometimes makes it impossible to accurately estimate in advance the total cost of a project. Planning the work, cost estimating, and billing in several phases permits TLHDesigns or CLIENT to adjust for such revisions/or halt of work before completion if a project is postponed or canceled. Any canceled project is billed only through phases and/or portions of phases that were actually completed by TLHDesigns.
 
For each project, CLIENT will receive a proposal/estimate outlining the project specifications and our proposed scope of services and working/billing phases. Each proposal estimate will contain a project budget, which includes estimated fees for professional services and separate itemized costs for anticipated out-of-pocket expenses.
 
We will begin work upon approval of the written estimate. Your approval (written or sent by email or fax) will constitute an agreement between us.
 
PAYMENT/ESTIMATES - CLIENT agrees to pay TLHDesigns in accordance with the terms specified in each project agreement.
 
Unless otherwise specified, all subsequent balances due are payable upon art approval. We reserve the right to refuse completion or delivery of work until past due balances are paid. Billing will reflect the actual costs incurred.
 
Estimate: Valid for only 30 days from date on estimate unless otherwise stated. Client requested changes will be billed additionally. The client will be notified of any price changes.
 
OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES - Fees for professional services do not include outside purchases such as, but not limited to, printing, photography, color printouts, laminating, illustrations, separations, shipping and handling or courier service unless otherwise stated.
 
Expenses are itemized on each invoice. If consultant or supervisory services are required in out-of-town locations, we will bill lodgings, meals, and transportation at cost. Reimbursement for mileage is calculated at current allowable rates.
 
REVISIONS AND ALTERATIONS - New work requested by CLIENT and performed by TLHDesigns after a proposal/estimate has been approved is considered a revision or alteration. If the job changes to an extent that substantially alters the specifications described in the original estimate, we will submit a proposal revision memo to you, and a revised additional fee must be agreed to by both parties before further work proceeds. Alterations and other copy changes requested after layouts or mechanicals are completed are billed at standard hourly rates.
 
OVERTIME - Estimates are based on a reasonable time schedule, and may be revised to take into consideration your needs, requiring overtime and weekends. Knowledge of your deadline(s) is essential to provide an accurate estimate.
 
NATURE OF COPY -CLIENT agrees to exercise due diligence in its direction to us regarding preparation of materials and must be able to substantiate all claims and representations. You are responsible for all trademarks, service mark, copyright and patent infringement clearances for info and images that you give us. You are also responsible for arranging, prior to publication, any necessary legal clearance of materials we prepare.
 
ERRORS AND OMISSIONS - It is the CLIENTS responsibility to check proofs carefully for accuracy in all respects, ranging from spelling to technical illustrations. DESIGNER is not
 
liable for errors or omissions. Your signature/approval or that of your authorized representative is required on all mechanicals or artwork prior to release for printing or other implementation.
 
TELECOMMUNICATIONS -CLIENT shall pay for all transmissions charges to DESIGNER. The DESIGNER is not responsible for any errors, omissions or extra costs resulting from faults in the telephone, cable, satellite network or from incompatibility between the sending and receiving of designs and material.
 
INSPECTION OF BOOKS - Upon reasonable notice, any and all invoices from our vendors and other documentation relating to your account will be available to you. Inspection at our studio by your authorized representative may be arranged during normal business hours.
 
PROPERTY AND SUPPLIES - TLHDesigns will take all reasonable precautions to safeguard the property you entrust to us. We will use our best efforts to ensure quality and timely delivery of all printed pieces. In the absence of negligence on our part, however, we are not responsible for loss, destruction or damage or unauthorized use by others of such property, this includes USPS, FedEx, UPS, and other courier services.
 
If you select your own vendors, other than those recommended by us, you may request that we coordinate their work. If at all possible, we will attempt to do so, but we cannot in anyway be held responsible for their quality, price, performance or delivery.
 
RIGHTS OF OWNERSHIP - Once a project has been delivered by us and is fully paid for by CLIENT, TLHDesigns will assign the reproduction rights of the design for the use(s) described in the project agreement.
 
According to the Copy right Law of 1976, the rights to all design and art work, including but not limited to photography and or illustration created by independent photographers or illustrators retained by TLHDesigns , or purchased from a stock agency on your behalf, remain with the individual designer, artist, photographer or illustrator. Unless a purchase of All Rights (A Buyout) is negotiated with TLHDesigns and/or his/her authorized representative, you may not use or reproduce the design or the images therein for a purpose other than the one(s) originally stipulated. If you wish to use the design we have created and/or the images within it for another purpose or project, including a reprint or exhibition, you must contact us to arrange the transfer of rights and any additional fees before proceeding.
 
TERM AND TERMINATION - The term of this agreement will continue for work in progress until terminated by either of us upon thirty (30) days written notice. If you should direct us at any time to cancel, terminate or put on hold any previously authorized project, we will promptly do so, provided you hold us harmless for any cost incurred as a result.
 
Upon termination of this agreement, TLHDesigns will transfer to CLIENT all your property and materials in our control and for which you have paid. CLIENT will indemnify and hold TLHDesigns harmless for any loss or expense (including attorney fees), and agree to defend TLHDesigns in any actual suit, claim or action arising in any way from our working relationship. This includes, but is not limited to claims made against CLIENT and any of its products and services arising from the publication of materials received from you, that we prepare and you approve before publication.
 
PRODUCTION SCHEDULES - Production schedules will be established and adhered to by both CLIENT and TLHDesigns, provided that neither shall incur any liability, penalty or
 
additional cost due to delays caused by a state of war, riot, civil disorder, fire, accidents, energy failure, equipment breakdown, delays in shipment by suppliers or carriers, action of government or civil authority, and acts of God or other causes beyond the control of the Client or the Designer. Where production schedules are not adhered to by the Client, final delivery date or dates will be adjusted accordingly.
 
ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS - The validity and enforceability of this agreement will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois applicable to agreements entered into and performed in the State of Illinois. This agreement is our entire understanding and may not be modified in any respect except in an executed agreement.
 
If we must retain attorneys to collect our invoices, we will be entitled to reasonable attorney fees, court costs, and interest at the maximum rate permitted by law. Thank you!
